The most popular fence style is the lattice topped fence with board on board fence boards framed in between the posts and rails. This gives you a great looking fence on both sides.
The lattice can be 12″, 18″ or 24″ high, square or diagonal. We prefer to use heavy duty lattice for long life. The lattice can also be privacy lattice. Privacy lattice has a third strip installed to cover the open spaces in the lattice giving you more privacy.

For longer post life we can also use brown color pressure treated fir posts. The P.T.F. posts also save money. The problem is the P.T. posts are stained and will not fade as the redwood will. Most people don’t mind the contrast when you consider the extended life to the fence. With the cost of installing a new fence these days every year you can get out of the old fence is a bonus.

Board on Board is the next most popular fence style. They are the same as the above fencing just without the lattice and the posts are set 2′ deep instead of 3′ deep.
